Magical Releases From Watches & Wonders 2026
Three watches full of wonder.
Where can you find the real “wonders” at Watches & Wonders 2026?
It’s obvious that Watches & Wonders is about timepieces - but what about the wonders? That idea is a little more abstract. And yet, they’re everywhere at the Palexpo in Geneva. The brand booths themselves are bastions of creativity, with towering displays and dramatic set dressing. Then there is the sense of wonder found within the watches themselves: it might come in the form of incredible engineering and inventiveness, the application of skilled techniques, or the use of rare and precious materials. Sometimes, it’s even simpler than that - a watch that makes you feel good and smile when you put it on your wrist. Truly, wonders are all around. Here are some absolutely magical timepieces from Watches & Wonders 2026.
The H. Moser & Cie Streamliner Two Hands 34mm Silver Fumé
The watches of H. Moser & Cie are unmistakable thanks to the brand’s compelling combination of refined minimalism and some of the most glorious dials in the business. One of the brand’s latest releases that embodies this is the Streamliner Two Hands 34mm Silver Fumé. Bringing the sleek silhouette of the Streamliner into a smaller, 34mm case is impressive enough, but add to that a dial devoid of branding, stamped with a frosted texture and lacquered with a silver gradient that shifts from bright white to deep grey that seems to melt seamlessly into the case, and it’s easy to see why this Moser is so magical.
The Ulysse Nardin Super Freak
Mechanical watches are magical machines. Gears and wheels spin in a delicate ballet of scientific accuracy, and this constant motion is converted into time. Ulysse Nardin’s Super Freak, which honours the 25th anniversary of this pioneering design, takes this ballet to the next level. Nearly every single element of the incredibly complex mechanism is in constant motion. Of the calibre’s 511 components, only 13 remain still. Everything else — the twin tourbillons, the incredibly small (and patented)differential, the gimbal that allows you to read the seconds and even the silicon components are all constantly rotating around the dial. While of course this dramatic watch lives up to its freaky name, there’s no denying the magic and the mystery of this marvellous timepiece.
The Konstantin Chaykin ThinKing Mystery
All the watches from Russian independent watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin have a magical quality about them — a playful humour that stands out from an otherwise serious industry. That’s not to say that Chaykin’s watchmaking isn’t serious, far from it. The ThinKing Mystery is the perfect example. When the prototype was announced in 2024, it shocked the world. A small watchmaker, with no history in ultra-slim watches, created the thinnest watch in the world. Incredible. This year, that prototype is now a limited edition reality. The 1.65mm ThinKing blends Chaykin’s trademark mystery dials laid out in a smiling face. Only here it isn’t a cartoon character that makes you smile, but rather the whisper-thin stainless steel case and barely there 12.1 gram weight.
