WEST END WATCH CO. LAUNCHES THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY HERITAGE SET
A PARTNERSHIP THAT DEFINED AN ERA
Few names in watchmaking history hold the same emotional weight for Ahmed Seddiqi as West End Watch Co. Founded in 1886, the legendary Swiss brand was among the first to shape the Seddiqi family’s love for horology. It marked the beginning of a journey that transformed a small family venture into the Middle East’s leading watch and jewellery retailer.
To honour this shared legacy, West End Watch Co. and Ahmed Seddiqi present the 75th Anniversary Heritage Set, a limited-edition pairing that celebrates the roots of a remarkable story.
A TRIBUTE IN TWO TIMEPIECES
The exclusive set includes two creations, a pocket watch and a wristwatch, each a reimagining of West End classics that once captured the spirit of adventure and precision.
The wristwatch, an automatic model based on the historic Reference 8152, recalls the robustness and reliability that made West End a trusted name among military professionals and explorers. Its red or black sun-pattern dial, faceted in a rare diamond-cut motif, reflects light like a gemstone.
The pocket watch, equally timeless, draws from the brand’s early models designed for the Indian Army and Railways. Its white dial with Hindi numerals in red or black cartouches and pear-shaped hands embodies a quiet elegance rooted in function and legacy.
Both pieces carry engraved casebacks bearing the 75th Anniversary logo and a quote from the founder, Ahmed Qasim Seddiqi: “West End – Mother of all Swiss watch brands.”
CRAFTED FOR COLLECTORS
Housed in a Swiss-made luxury wooden box, reminiscent of vintage army instrument cases, the Heritage Set reflects the authenticity and strength that have long defined both brands. It is a tribute to the early days of Ahmed Seddiqi, when West End watches symbolised precision, endurance, and trust, a foundation that continues to guide the company’s story 75 years on.
