La Petite Seconde 75th Anniversary Seddiqi Edition
Discover the fine details of this limited-edition collaboration between Ahmed Seddiqi and Louis Erard, a timepiece that pairs minimalist Swiss craftsmanship with subtle design references to the region.
Case
The watch is housed in a polished stainless steel case, measuring 39mm in diameter with a comfortable thickness of 12.82mm. Its domed sapphire crystal is treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides, enhancing legibility. The signature fir tree crown and transparent caseback, engraved with “Limited Edition 1 of 75”, complete the structure. Designed with everyday wear in mind, the watch offers water resistance up to 50 metres and wears elegantly on the wrist.
Movement
Powering the timepiece is a Swiss automatic Sellita SW261-1 calibre. This élaboré grade movement features 31 jewels, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and delivers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. Through the sapphire caseback, an openworked oscillating rotor can be seen, finished with the black lacquered Louis Erard emblem, a touch of mechanical artistry that speaks to the collaboration’s level of finish.
Dial
Warm in tone and rich in texture, the copper-coloured dial is designed with a satin-finished outer ring, gadroons at the centre, and a blue-toned small seconds counter at six o’clock. The hour markers are presented in Hindi numerals, adding cultural nuance, while the anthracite-finished hands are shaped in homage to Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa.
Strap
Completing the design is a grey grained calf leather strap, detailed with tone-on-tone stitching and a polished stainless steel pin buckle. The strap includes quick-release spring bars for easy adjustment and everyday functionality. With its soft black leather lining and tailored dimensions, the strap balances comfort with understated elegance.
