GERALD CHARLES x AHMED SEDDIQI INTRODUCE MAESTRO 9.0 TOURBILLON TIGER’S EYE

A THREE-PIECE TRIBUTE TO 75 YEARS OF HOROLOGY

To mark the 75th anniversary of Ahmed Seddiqi, Gerald Charles presents a rare edition of the Maestro 9.0 Tourbillon, created in honour of both this milestone and the brand’s own 25-year journey. Limited to just three pieces, the edition celebrates a partnership defined by friendship and a shared passion for fine watchmaking.

A MINIMALIST DIAL WITH MAXIMAL PRESENCE

At the centre of the piece lies a dial cut from Tiger’s Eye, a rare quartz prized for its golden shimmer and internal chatoyancy. Popular in 1970s watchmaking and now revived in a contemporary context, the stone demands exceptional precision – only the most visually balanced pieces are selected to ensure each dial is unique in texture and depth. In a first for Gerald Charles, the dial features no indices or minute track. This minimalist approach allows the natural character of the stone to define the composition, pairing the brand’s architectural philosophy with a dial that feels sculptural and elemental.

MASTERFUL CRAFT IN THE MAESTRO CASE

The Tiger’s Eye dial is framed by the iconic Maestro case, an architectural splendour inspired by baroque lines. For this edition, Gerald Charles debuts its first-ever Colormix finish for the exterior: a striking metallic hue developed through a proprietary blend of chemical and physical treatments. The warm tone extends to the polished buckle and is paired with a sand-toned vulcanised rubber strap, echoing the landscapes of the UAE.

MECHANICAL SOPHISTICATION WITH A PERSONAL SIGNATURE

The Maestro 9.0 Tourbillon Tiger’s Eye is driven by the Swiss Manufacture Calibre 9.0, featuring a 60-second tourbillon housed at six o’clock within a custom titanium cage in the shape of the Gerald Charles logo. A 22K rose gold oscillating mass, engraved with the brand’s signature honeycomb pattern, ensures efficient winding, while the stop-seconds mechanism adds precision at every level of use. Designed to appeal to a wide range of collectors, the piece offers 50 hours of power reserve.
