Founded in 1894, Universal Genève occupied a singular place in Swiss watchmaking. Its designers and engineers worked side by side to create timepieces that brought mechanical ingenuity together with a distinctive sense of style.

The Polerouter, Compax, Tri-Compax, and Cabriolet. These watches set new standards in design and watchmaking. They were worn by artists, collectors, travelers, and people who shaped the modern world around them. This approach earned Universal Genève its enduring title: Le Couturier de la Montre. Like a couturier, the maison considered the movement, case, dial, bracelet, material, color, proportion, and finish as part of one complete composition. Each detail had beauty as well as purpose. Now, Universal Genève returns with the inaugural collection of its new creative legacy.

New manufacture movements and haute horlogerie techniques bring a modern expression to the maison’s defining designs. Precious materials carefully reconsidered historic designs, and collaborations with artisans from fashion and the decorative arts extend its approach to craft and detail.
