Christophe, whose vision is to keep the company as the first choice for watch connoisseurs globally, has the dual responsibility of providing strategic direction to the business and preparing the younger family members to become its custodians.
Born in France in 1966, Christophe spent his teenage years in Saudi Arabia with his family. After completing his French Baccalaureat in Economics, Christophe studied marketing in France before attaining a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the European University in Geneva.
Christophe began his career as a Communications Manager in the Sports industry in Geneva, where he stayed for 10 years. In 1999 he joined the Richemont Group, where he became Area Manager for Baume & Mercier, overseeing operations in the Middle East, India, South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
In 2002, Christophe relocated to Dubai to setting up the Baume & Mercier subsidiary for the Middle East and India markets. His expertise saw him chosen by Harry Winston to set up the company’s subsidiary in the Middle East in 2004.
Christophe worked at Harry Winston as the Managing Director of Middle East and India operations until 2008, when he was offered the opportunity to take on the newly created position of CEO at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.
Christophe’s role at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons is to expand on the excellent business foundations which the Seddiqi family has built over the past 60 years and strengthen the Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons brand name in regional and international markets.
Innovative sales and marketing plans, extending the retail networks and continuous training of shop floor executives, who he considers are a company’s best assets, are among some of his strategies for the group.
His business acumen has kept the company at the forefront of best business practices. A cornerstone of this was creation of the Executive Committee, which gives the third and fourth generation members of the Seddiqi family the opportunity to lead the company and provide strategic direction.
